Welcome to Acton Academy Nanaimo
A resource and tutoring centre in the heart of downtown Nanaimo. A day in our Studios is creativity within constraints: large blocks of time for work and play with clear but broad guardrails, equipping young people to manage their time, set goals, and track progress. Within each work block, learners can choose from a variety of work options based on personal goals, passions, and commitments.
What is Acton Academy?
Acton Academy is an innovative approach to education in the 21st Century, founded on the belief that every child is a genius on a hero’s journey, who deserves to find a calling that will change the world. It’s a place where children share learning with each other in a tightly bound community with extremely high standards of excellence. Where freedom, responsibility, and the pursuit of one’s life purpose are valued above all else.
